Thanks for the link, it looks quite interesting.

However, it will not be suitable for this particular application. Two reasons:
*) Privacy - The users might agree to give access to plugin, but probably not to some generic 3rd party application.
*) Efficiency. Polar Rose is planning to do general face recognition. That's a very wide field and quite hard to train the software for. Riya's strength was that you trained on your and your friends' photographs, so only a limited number of people needed to be recognised. They expected such limitation to make recognition significantly easier. And even then, they failed (though that could have been business model).</description>
